Umum

Hosted by Truman Bradley, a radio/tv broadcaster and a 1940s movie actor, each episode introduces scientifically extrapolated stories, or pseudo-emphasis based on actual scientific data available at the time. Usually, stories relating to the life or work of scientists, engineers, inventors, and explorers. The program concentrates on concepts such as space flight, robotics, telepathy, flying saucers, time travel, and the intervention of extraterrestrials in human affairs.

Broadcast a total of 78 episodes 25-26 minutes, this series also known as Beyond The Limits for repeating syndication during the 1960s, and alternatively Science Fiction Theater .

Contrary to what happened during the 1950s, the first season was filmed in color, but to cut production costs, the second season was filmed in black and white. The producers initially thought that color television broadcasts will grow faster than it really is.

Like the syndication of Out There and Tales of Tomorrow previous anthology series, Science Fiction Theater is the forerunner of later science-fiction anthology shows such as The Twilight Zone and The Outer Limits .

In addition to host Bradley, the show has no fixed players, although a number of actors appear in several episodes in different roles.

Intro and outro

Each episode was introduced by stirring, string, and woodwind fanfare (most likely composed by Ray Bloch, old music director for Ed Sullivan), while the camera panned the science lab. Later, Bradley showed a simple scientific experiment related to the week's event topics. Bradley demonstrations are often staged, but produce results consistent with actual experimental results. He is always careful to point out that the stories presented are fictitious; that "it does not happen."

Due to the limited budget and intense production schedules of the ZIV episodic television show, most of the scientific, and less-scientific equipment emerged again and again as props with many different functions.

First line in every episode:
Host: "How are you, ladies and gentlemen, I am your host, Truman Bradley."

Last line of each episode:
Host: "I hope you enjoy our story We'll be back one week from today with another exciting adventure from the world of fiction and science. Until then, this is your host, Truman Bradley, say, see you next week. "
